Sister Mary Margaret Delaski receives Award of Merit

LOWELL, MI (04-13-2006) - Sister Mary Margaret Delaski, FSE/MT-BC, was awarded the Barbara Lipinski Professional Award on March 31, 2006 at the Annual Spring Conference of the Autism Society of Michigan. This award is presented to an active professional who effectively improves service for people with autism spectrum disorder. The Barbara Lipinski Award of Merit is to honor Ms. Lipinski who was a student pursuing a career in education at the University of Michigan and had a great interest in autism and volunteered many hours to work with students who had autism spectrum disorder. On October 11, 1981 Ms. Lipinski’s mother and the Autism Society of Michigan established the Barbara Lipinski Award of Merit. The award was presented to Sister Mary Margaret for providing music therapy services to hundreds of children in the greater Grand Rapids area for over twenty years.
